Had beautifully presented room with a huge mirror and a rubbish leather sofa for a splendid stay. It met what was needed.

The location was AMAZING in the "lounge area" and the staff here was exceptionally attentive and affable. It was also next to the centre of said car park spheres reminiscent of '' The Prisoner '' which as light fell were illuminated...

Location offers fine views overlooking the moors and Castleshaw reservoirs. The lounge area features a fancy pool table perfect for unwinding after a long day.
The shower and toilet layout felt a bit cramped. It wasn't a dealbreaker but kind of awkward for longer stays. Breakfast options were limited, with requests for certain items mostly met with refusal. Prices for drinks, like a £3 Diet Coke with ice, seemed a little steep, particularly in such a remote area where alternatives are scarce.

The hotel was the best I have ever stayed in, there was nothing at all I could fault about the break. The staff were absolutely amazing and the luxury style and boutique feel is the perfect...

I was attending a family dinner at the hotel and so convenience was a key factor to my stay. The decor, the main dining hall and pleasantness of staff. The setting was also very attractive with great views of the Saddleworth Moors. My single occupancy...

The distinctive character of an independently owned and run hotel, the friendliness of the owners and family and the very good food.
The inflexibility of the taps in the basin and shower in the bedroom; I understand the good reasons for what has been done but it still is less than convenient.

This place suits me perfectly, with free Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, and a lovely bar area. The staff helped me find my way during my first stay, which I still appreciate. Highly recommend for a great city break!...

The room didn't have air-con and the windows wouldn't open resulting in a really hot room. When I'm paying so much I don't expect my bath room to have press button taps that time out. Same goes for the shower, I don't care what eco pretensions you've got. There were no tea/coffee facilities and there wasn't to a telephone meaning you have to cross the car park to contact reception. At the bar the soft drinks were expensive (£3 for half of Coke), it was cheaper to drink. Generally a disappointing stay.

The room was so lovely and clean, bed was comfy like sleeping on a cloud. The breakfast was super good, had a great chat with charlotte at the front desk, she was really friendly. Owners were nice, can't wait to come...

The view
This must be the worst value hotel in the UK. Unbelievably overpriced for what was offered - poor breakfast, no restaurant open in the evening, no shampoo in room, no shower cap, a very annoying time controlled washbasin tap, no DVD player despite booking information saying one was in the room, no tea/coffee making facilities, no robes, tiny towels, no telephone so a long walk across the car park if you wanted to contact reception, stained pillowcases, musty smell in room and overpowering plug in air freshners elsewhere in hotel. A very disappointing experience.
